Melbourne restaurant Cutler & Co has been named restaurant of the year at the Australian Gourmet Traveller Restaurant Awards.
But the southern city has some stiff competition in the race to be Australia’s fine dining capital, with seven Sydney eateries but only two Melbourne restaurants granted coveted three-star status in the awards.
Cutler & Co on Monday night was named the best out of more than 400 restaurants listed in the Australian Gourmet Traveller Restaurant Guide, Australia’s only national restaurant guide.
